Learning centers

I read a lot of blogs so I'm not sure where I read about setting up learning centers but I thought it was a great idea. We do our main school in our dining room so that is already set up for learning.  But I added 2 centers that I will change out periodically.  We'll see how these go.

The first one is a geography center and it's in our living room.  It's just a small table with a globe on it and a basket underneath.  The basket will get changed out periodically.  Right now it has stuff about the North American continent. I'm not sure how to keep the baby out of it though.

And the other one is a science center.  It's currently in my bedroom but I may move it.  Right now the box holds seashells, driftwood and a sand dollar.  I also included a clipboard with paper and colored pencils so they could draw the nature they see.  This is where I put their magnifying glasses and would like a microscope to put there too.
