Tot School Wednesday

On Wenesdays we learn a shape.

Today was triangle.

 

Tot School Tuesday

On Tuesdays we learn either a color or an animal - today was a cat.

We read "My Cat Likes to Hide in Boxes"

She colored a cat.

Then she used magnets on her magnet page

And made a caterpillar with Do-Dot-Markers

Then she wanted to cut paper

Tot School: Monday

On Mondays, we introduce a new letter.  We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom first.

Then we look in our bag to discover the letter.

Next we tape our letter to our coconut tree.

Next we discover what starts with that letter.  I put objects in our bag and she pulls them out while I say "c -c - c cat".  We do that for each object.

Then she stamps the letter on our alphabet page.

Sometimes she will color or play with big brother.  And that's it, no more than 10 min teaching time.

Sentence Buddies

We made sentence buddies to help us remember what a sentence needs to be complete.

1st day of school 2015

Every Monday, we will introduce a new letter and read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.  Then we will look in our special bag to see what starts with that letter.

Played in the sensory bin

Practicing making vowels with wiki sticks

After reading about how Daniel Boone learned different animal tracks, they played a game where they had to match the track with the name of the animal.  Then they decided to take turns hiding the tracks for the other one to find.
