Last unit study

We are finishing up our school this week. Then we take a couple weeks off and start back up in June.  The last unit study we did, was pigs.  We made more of a notebook than a Lapbook.

And the boy made a crane from our magnets.

Curriculum 2014-2015

Here are our curriculum choices for our new school year.

Fireman Sam will be in K4 and we will be using Abeka for Phonics and Numbers.  For writing, we will use free worksheets from the internet as well as LeapFrog Writing Notebook.

We will also continue our hands-on activities and add in some Lego learning b/c he is obsessed with Lego.

For Bible, we will continue The Jesus Storybook Bible twice a week and we will add in Apologia's Who is God? twice a week.

Cinderella will be in 2nd grade.  She will be doing:

Math:  Saxon 2

Phonics/Reading/Spelling/Handwriting:  Abeka Grade 2

English:  Bob Jones 2

Science: Apologia Botany

History: I'm really excited about this because we will be going through the American Girl doll books starting with Kaya and then Felicity.

For Art we will be doing pretty much what we did last year which is art projects I find on the internet or putting art supplies out on the table and letting them have at it.

For Music we will be using this IPad app, as well as continuing our at home guitar lessons.

I came up with my own version

So I have this in addition to our pattern blocks, wooden blocks and  Lauri peg board - I think we'll get the same kind of learning and mine cost about $15!
